Good Morning,
Can you recall having an “aha” moment? One of those times when things clicked....you “got it?” As a teacher, it is great to see when this happens with a student. As a coach, I also get to be there sometimes when my client sees a connection, has an insight. And, as a human being I experience this first hand. Life presents all of these learning opportunities.
I have also noticed that there are different levels of knowing something. At one level we can understand the words about the lesson. We can hear them, read them, and hold them in our mind. We can intellectually understand the concept.
Then there is another level, when we have the opportunity to apply what we have learned. This may take some effort. It can feel awkward and take some concentration to apply the new idea, the new technique (it is not our normal!). If we continue to practice what we have learned we are more at ease with it. It becomes part of our normal repertoire. Sometimes we can hardly recall not knowing this, being able to do this.
You can probably think of many examples of this in your life....remember learning to drive a car? Starting at your job?
Now think about other things you have learned related to living your one great life; insights related to your purpose; discerning what to let go of, what to hold on to; noticing your energy and shifting; taking action aligned with your vision. Here too there are many levels and many places to apply the learning. We have opportunities to continue learning, to evolve to become more, to choose consciously.
I am curious about how you integrate your learning into your life. What reminds you about that insight? What helps you live from that bigger place? What have you found to move you from old habits to more conscious choice?
Having the “aha” is great. And, it is also great when the wisdom is applied. Our lives are different because we are different.
Appreciating wisdom,
Judy
