Good Morning,

If you’ve been reading the messages for a while, todays may ring a bell. A nice thing about having done this a while is that I have a bank of messages I can tap into. There are times when I am looking for inspiration. It’s nice to have some back-up. This is what I found, a simple reminder that feels right to consider on this fresh fall morning. Take it in, see where it takes you.

Here is a simple message for this last day of September: Allow yourself to experience the good.

Recognize all that is present right now in this moment.

Notice where you are: look around; take in the colors, smells, feelings, sounds, tastes.

Consider the people around you: their gifts, uniqueness, energy.

Feel your body: enjoy the sensations it provides; the groundedness, the presence.

Focus on your work for this day: the day’s tasks, questions, activities; feel the energy around that.

Notice where you are in the constant movement of change, in the ebb and flow, the letting go and taking on, the uncertainty and anticipation.

Choose how you want to be with circumstances as they are, where you want to put your attention, what you want to notice and be open to. Be ready to recognize opportunities and answers as they present themselves. Expect the best. Enjoy it all.

Don’t want to miss a thing,

Judy

Good Morning,

What comes up for you as you consider aging? As in, “I am getting older every day. I am aging and because I want to stay alive, I will continue to age.” How do you feel about that? How do you manage the idea of being the age you are and thinking ahead to the coming ages?

Our culture isn’t very appreciative of aging. How many commercials rely on the notion that we want to look younger? There seem to be more messages about what is given up as one ages than recognition of what is gained with age.

So, this week let’s do a little balancing of what is given up and what is gained as we ripen, mature, age. Think about what changes, what you let go of….and….what that makes room for.

Something like:

It used to be….. Now I find…..

Took for granted having energy -I choose where to put my time and

to be busy all day into evening energy – I can say no

Motivated by what other people thought Motivation comes from what is important to me

Play with this. Find what you have gained, what has opened up for you, what gives you a sense of satisfaction now that makes this time of life so great. Let’s appreciate where we are!

Take care,

Judy

Good Morning,

These days are full of challenges. Every day we face news about the economy (it’s bad) and we are all affected. So much pessimism, fear, feelings of lack, and uncertainty circulates in our environment, it can be overwhelming. How do we cope with negativity?

Big questions for my little message; but, here goes….

Today’s message is to:

– do your work

- be mindful

- choose how you want to be

– find pleasure in the little things

Do your work. Face what needs to be faced. Look at the facts. Get the information you need. Make a plan.

Be mindful. Know what is important to you and what you can let go of.

Choose how you want to be. There are always choices. Be aware of the thought you are holding and consider your options. Your perspective can have a huge impact.

Find pleasure in the little things….the beauty of nature….the smell of coffee in the morning…the smile of a loved one….the comfort of your favorite chair. Enjoy what is there to be appreciated.

Take care,

Judy

Good Morning,

Being aware, being conscious creators brings an understanding of the dynamic, ongoing dance we are engaged in. We are always in process, in the flow of aliveness and so are always challenged to find our point of balance. Having a sense of balance is constantly with us though there are times when we notice it more.

How do you create balance? What does balance feel like? How do you recognize when you are out of balance, and then what do you do?

This time of year (summer’s over) seems to be a good time to consider balance and the structures that help maintain that equilibrium. Take a look at your schedule, commitments, routines, goals and reflect on how they support your sense of balance. Are there things to let go of....things to add or change? Are your structures supporting you? Are they aligned with what you want to create? Is it time to update?

Keep flowing,

Judy

Good Morning,

Is it feeling like fall to you? Despite the heat and humidity here, it is to me. It feels like it is time to turn that corner, move into a new season. It is very bitter sweet. And, it feels like a good time to do some reflecting, which is my suggestion this morning.

If you don’t journal, this may be a good time to start. There are many of options in how you can do this….electronically….notebook….voice recording. Find a method that appeals to you. Then, make time to take stock - to recognize what you have accomplished; appreciate what you have enjoyed; be aware of what filled you with joy/purpose/vitality; notice what you learned – what you want less of/more of; and, capture those intuitions that are calling for your attention – that are leading you into what is next.

Write it down! I know I said you can use different methods to reflect, but I am biased in thinking that there is something worthwhile in getting those thoughts, musings, and ideas into written form. Just try it and see. I would love to hear your reactions.

It’s your life, pay attention,

Judy
